letter of rec question
I'm looking to apply to Harvard. The deadline is on July 1st. Taking into account mailing time and LSAC processing delays, what date should I tell the professor the letter needs to be sent by?

Re: letter of rec question
My professors sent theirs through the university mail system and one of them took like 10 days to get processed. I would definitely prefer getting them in the mail by June 3. What if something goes wrong and it never processes? You need time to react...

Re: letter of rec question
i'd recommend 3 weeks before the deadline to be safe. usually takes about 10 days, though my recent experience has been much quicker (around 5).
