I have been told repeatedly that I am top 20-15 students in class of 400 but school does not rank until summer, I have submitted 2 ED apps to GULC and GW. Will they contact my school to get a sense of rank? How does that work?

I can't speak with certainty...but I would assume that they would use prior experience to estimate where you stand in your class, if not then contact the school.

I asked this same question and was told that EA schools try to maneuver around these types of schools (that try to deter transferring by delaying rank release) and that they just work around it. They will want to see it eventually, though, after spring grades have posted.
But you can usually call your registrar at anytime and ask for an *estimated ranking that you can maybe post on your resume or something. I don't know.
