Top Law Schools

The FSU website says that you qualify to transfer if you are within the top 1/3 of your class. However, I had someone tell me that they will consider you if you are just outside of it. (ie: top 35%)

Anyone know whether this is true? Has anyone been accepted as a transfer who was NOT in the top 1/3? Or do you know anyone who has?

top 35% is firmly within the top 2/3

I have no idea about FSU's policies, but top 35% would be well within the top 2/3 of the class, because 2/3 of the class is 67%.

If you're asking about top 1/3 of the class, then that's different, and someone who knows FSU better should answer.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but, wouldn't top 2/3 mean top 33%? If so, how is top 35% part of the top 2/3?

The top 100% inclues everybody.
The top 99% includes all but the worst 1% in the class.
The top 1% includes the most elite 1%.

lol... I know, totally wasn't thinking. I'm clearly still in weekend mode.

And yes, I'd be coming from a T4 in FL. Rumor has it, they accepted a LOT of transfers out of my school last year, but most ended up going to UF.
