Isn't $70 worth avoiding the stress of wondering "what if?"

UT is a ridiculously tough school to transfer into. As a Texas resident, UT undergrad alum, 161/3.76, and top 5% FT student at a TT school, I applied and was rejected. My T14 applications yielded acceptances. They're the only school I know of who looks for 'compelling' reasons to transfer. Great grades don't seem to be enough. They're looking for law students who have secured an internship with the Texas Supreme Court, or have a family member in the Austin area who is critically ill or recently died and now you have to step into a support role, stuff like that. Not saying it's not worth the app fee, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Your bigger problem transferring is going to be meeting UT's minimum hours requirement as a part time student.
