Currently at T20 with 3.71. GULC?

I am currently a 1L at a T20. I got a 3.71 for the first semester, and I may try to transfer to GULC for family reasons. Any thoughts on my chances?

Where does this rank you? I imagine that's top 20% at worst (and most likely higher), which I would think gives you a good shot, especially coupled with compelling family reasons.

Unfortunately, I don't have a class rank available to me, but my best guess is that it puts me somewhere in the top 8-12%.

if you keep your GPA in that range after next semester you can do much better than GULC, but if you must go there for family reasons i'd say you have a strong (>75%) shot at getting in.
