Transfer Chances: Chicago

I have a 3.794 at Cornell, around top ~11%. Any thoughts on my chances Chicago ED? RD (assuming same GPA I guess, although that might be a huge assumption)? RD at other schools (same assumption)?
Also, any thoughts on whether it would be a smart transfer to make?
I am not currently receiving any money from Cornell, so my debt would probably decrease. It appears most of the 2L scholarships are merit and need based. My parents assets make it unlikely cornell will give me any scholarship with a need component.

What is your reasoning for transferring? Region or specific firms? I don't think you'll put yourself at much of an advantage by transferring from your current position.

My best guess is that you should receive serious consideration based on your performance at Cornell Law.

There is a 3L transfer at Chicago who went to Cornell for 1L, but I have no idea what his/her grades were like or if he/she used the ED option.
From what I've been told, a bunch of Cornell kids (like 5) took advantage of the subtle/stealth curve bump last year to successfully throw more impressive looking apps to Harvard. I don't know if H has caught on to the curve bump for this year, but you could always hold out and try for HYS.

To be honest, some of my reasons for transferring are not great. My parents are UofC alumni and Chicago was the school I would have liked to attend if I had a hig enough LSAT score.
I'm also interested in pursuing a PhD and going into academia which Chicago would be better for, but its not Harvard or Yale, legal academia is such a crapshoot, and my plans would depend a lot on if I could get into the programs I am interested in.
I was under the impression that my grades were probably not good enough for a HYS transfer. Am I mistaken?

Sorry to bump, but I'd really like to know what people's thoughts are on this.

TLS wisdom has been top 10% for lower T14 for a HYS transfer but you might still have a shot.

Damn. Watch out NU, Cornell's quite a contender for the GPA inflation crown. GL with the transfer, OP.

If you really do want academia, it's worth it to
not apply Chicago ED and shoot for YHS RD. You're high enough to make YHS absolutely worth the apps and if you can raise your rank a bit next semester then you'll have a very good shot at all three.
