Question on transferring to Georgetown

I was waitlisted last year at Georgetown, but they did keep on the list to the very end, and I made it into a top 40 school. Just took finals, obviously waiting to see what the grades are.

If I did well, there is an obvious temptation to transfer to Georgetown. However, there are rumors floating about that transfer students (once accepted) sometimes run into problems actually getting all their credits transferred. Is this true? Do transfer-ins face any other problems?

Some other questions:

I have some disability issues. The school I am going to has been very good about providing appropriate accomodations. Does anyone know if Georgetown is equally good about that, or if there are any problems with accomodations?

Finally, at the school I'm at, I'm finding fellow students to be pretty friendly, supportive, not too competitive in spirit. The professors, too -- at least so far -- seem pretty dedicated to their teaching. Any general impressions on Georgetown in terms of mutual student cooperation, real interest of the faculty in teaching, etc?

Thanks.

Normally I'd say to wait for 1L grades and leave it at that, but you have questions worth answering, instead of the normal "what are my chances" tripe.

Don't know about GULC, but I can say more generally that many schools only accept transfer credits on the required 1L courses. When this happens, classes your transfer school requires during 1L (torts, contracts, etc) should transfer, but electives don't. If GULC has a more specific problem than that, I'm not aware of it, but hopefully someone who transferred there can comment.

Can't comment as to Georgetown, but I transferred to CC and all my credits transferred, as did all of my peers. I have never heard of this being an issue, other than the max that my school allowed for transfer credits (and for you to have taken to be eligible to transfer) is 32. Also, I am in my first semester of 2L, but I will say that I think it is definately harder and more competitive here (though I have slacked off all year, which was the opposite of last year).
