Penn or Michigan?

I'm not admitted to both, but I'm curious what the opinion is here for transfers.

For a student looking to work for a firm (not PI/academic/etc), that is from the west coast and intends to return, what is the real difference between the schools?

Under the above general circumstances, does it all really just come down to where you want live for the next two years? Is there anything that sets these schools apart in a way that would make one a better choice?

if you want to return to the west coast, Michigan places very well for where it's located. Penn may have a slight edge, though, if you want the Northeast corridor (i.e. NY, Philly, DC), given its location in the region and its Ivy status.
