Hello,
I applied as a transfer to UVA and my file currently states, "Complete, Pending Review/Final Decision" with the date 6/22/11. I noticed posts from people talking about receiving acceptance calls, or rejection e-mails, from UVA recently.
Is the fact that I haven't heard anything good or bad? Does anyone who went through the transfer app. process have any idea when final decisions are made?

I can't say for sure whether it's good or bad, but I'd imagine that if you haven't been either accepted or rejected yet it would mean that you're still in the running. When did you get your application in?
I'd give them a call and ask what your status is. I know the deposit deadline is the 8th, so I would think they'd try to get most of the decisions out by then...

I sent an e-mail to admissions and received a reply back saying that my application was still being processed and I should hear back in the "near term." If you're right and the first deposits are due today (the 8th) then maybe they sent out their acceptances to the top tier of applicants and are waiting if all of them actually submit their deposits. If some don't, maybe they'll send out acceptances to the next tier. Keeping my fingers crossed.
