So is anyone going to try and write onto Law Review? It looks like the competition starts July 15, so we are going to have to decide fairly soon.

I think I'm gonna give it a go. The fact that they only take two transfers max and that you only need your note for MLR makes it tempting to skip, but it's worth a shot.

Congrats!
You submit everything separately online for each journal. You can just submit a writing sample for all the secondary journals. The bluebook cite test is the same for all of them (including MLR). Each journal needs a separate note topic statement and personal statement, which are around 400-600 words each depending on the journal. MLR is the only one that requires the note; however, you can use the note instead of your writing sample for the secondaries.

Definitely going! Michigan was my top choice. Still debating doing the write-on for MLR tho, but it's probably worth a shot.

It's shipped UPS 2-day so you'll probably get it on Monday (no Sat delivery).

Still waiting on the package too...what's the deal w/ football tickets, do law students get a discount?

Nah, $250 for tickets, but ND, Ohio St, and Nebraska are all home games this year. If you wanted to sell your Ohio St. or ND ticket, you could easily recoup the $250 in one shot (although not sure why anyone would miss those games). Once you get your ID in your acceptance package, just call the ticket office and they'll set you up.

Hey everyone I was accepted on June 29th and forgot to post here. Definitely not trying for MLR. No interest.
In any event, I thought we should start a facebook group to try and round up the transfers. I spoke to my mentor tonight and he thought it a good idea. My guess is that you should be hearing from yours soon if you have not already.
Shoot me a personal message and I'll add you as a friend on facebook so we can get the group started. Will be much easier than TLS.

Apparently the mentors already created a facebook group.
Here's the link:

Have no idea why it wasn't searchable in the first place.

I certainly didn't mean to post "error.com." Something must have happened. I'll try again...

...Coming from Brooklyn, I'm thinking about LC, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I can't find anything else close to campus!

Coming from Rutgers Camden.
Don't want to live in the LC and looking for roommates (if anyone is interested, PM me; I'm a girl willing to live with girls or guys).
