Top 15% at T2, bother to transfer?

I'm not looking to transfer to a T14 school. I'm currently at a school ranked in the 60s in CA and was just looking to see if I can possibly get admitted to Hastings/Davis and maybe use that as leverage for a scholarship for next year. Any advice would be appreciated!

Not worth it. Stay where you are.

you wouldnt get a t14. You will get davis and hastings for sure. Im not sure if it would be worth it to transfer to hastings/davis at top 15%....

Do you think it's worth putting in a transfer app to leverage for a scholarship for next year? I am not likely to transfer to Hasting/Davis even if I get in because I want to practice in the area where my school is located. But my school only gives merit scholarships to the top 17 rising 2Ls. I had a scholarship for my 1L but will prob have to pay sticker unless I receive a private scholarship.

You could do it to leverage scholarships, but try to find out from upperclassmen if this works. It would suck to put in all that effort for nothing.

Yeah, I have no idea how my school treats students who put in transfer apps or whether it gives a crap if they leave (i.e., offer scholarship money). I also heard some schools make it extremely difficult for their students who put in transfer apps and request official transcripts/Dean's letter, and that scares me a little. Thanks though!
