Rejected by UVA via email this AM.
Somewhat expect because I'm a non-VA resident.
ETA - email mentioned 200 applications for only 10(!) transfer spots this year.

Yeah, I'm starting to get the feeling that I wasted my app fee on than one.Vronsky wrote:ETA - email mentioned 200 applications for only 10(!) transfer spots this year.

10% at T25
Penn - Complete as of yesterday
NYU - Confirmed as complete over the phone, but status checker hasn't yet updated. Went to "under review" last Friday, but reverted back to "processing" as of Monday. Not sure why. But they confirmed that everything was there
Columbia - Submitting tonight, and all materials are in their possession aside from my actual app

Any word from Duke? I've been "submitted for review" for quite some time.

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Finally applied to CLS.
Most of my letters of good standing went out today, so I will hopefully go complete/UR next week.
Tip for next years transfers: don't procrastinate on these! Apparently Deans like to go on vacation during the summer .

Good luck! Were you able to get a gulc extension or did you just pay the deposit?keg411 wrote:Finally applied to CLS.

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Just paid it. I think I'm leaning towards attending right now, but I have to visit and talk to career services first (and see if I get into one of my top choices; although seeing who GULC rejected/WL'd, I feel lucky to have gotten in there at all).starchinkilt wrote:Good luck! ETA: I want NYC/Northeast Biglawl, so CLS and NYU are my top two (with Penn and Cornell close behind).

FWIW, I got the call from Michigan yesterday without having ever received a status checker e-mail or anything beyond the initial rambling e-mail about having received my application.

Congrats! Is that your top choice or are you waiting on other schools?SniperBarbie wrote:FWIW, I got the call from Michigan yesterday without having ever received a status checker e-mail or anything beyond the initial rambling e-mail about having received my application.

Thanks! I'm definitely thrilled, and almost certainly going, barring divine intervention of the columbia/boalt variety. But those are reaches, and Michigan seems to be so great for transfers.

Yeah same here re: status check email. I thought maybe I lost the email at first but I guess they just don't send em to transfer students.

not sure if this is your case, but i hear its also tough to transfer to UVA because they typically want to see a strong connection to VA.ReversedAndRemanded wrote:Dinged at UVA. Womp womp. Wasn't surprised tho after reading on here how few transfers they're taking.

Under committee review at Penn as of today. Guess they want to reject me and get it out of their system quickly
I have a sinking feeling that 10% at T25 just isn't enough for Penn, Columbia, or NYU

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
I get the feeling that Penn is more selective. I know a number of people who got into Michigan but got rejected or WL from Penn. But transfer admissions are an entirely different game since its based largely off how many spots are available.tfer2222 wrote:You guys apply to Mich?
