I transferred from a school that was ranked 55-65. After my 1L year I was ranked right around top 25%.
I applied right before the deadline and heard back with 2-3 days.
At OCI I 15+ screening interviews and three callbacks (IP background) but struck out. I am now working in the biotech industry.
My grades so far this year have been much improved, GW only does percentage ranges but I know that I just missed the cut-off for top15%.

im super concerned about COL, if I end up in DC. how are you finding the housing situation for students there? have you needed to rely on any private lending or have you found the COL limits provided by the school adequate?

As a transfer, you're taking the full debt-load. It's likely that you'll end up paying around $120k over two years. For some, the added advantage of snagging a biglaw gig is worth the extra cost, especially for those paying at or near full price at their transferor school. Ultimately, transferring to a non-T6 must be a carefully-calculated decision. By no means should deciding to transfer to a school like GW be easy. Look through my poast history for explanations about the factors that go into transferring. HTH.

When did they start giving out acceptances...what kind of deposits were due and how soon after acceptance? Thanks for doing this.

IIRC, acceptances start at least as early as the first week of July. I can't remember the deposit amount, but it wasn't insignificant (duh).

Not specifically I dont, but GW makes it very easy to transfer between programs.

I meant transferring from one PT program into GW's. I'm ~Top 25% in the PT program at a school in the 40's-50's and was wondering how competitive transferring into GW's PT program would be.

My cousin is a graduate of GW and a partner at a DC firm. Would this give a transfer app a bump?
