help more for transfer admissions?
if that particular school does not ask for that information on their app
would it still be beneficial to provide it in an addendum?

In short, usually not. But the search function will do wonders for you.

Related in what way? I've seen some apps that only ask whether parents or grandparents graduated the school. Anything else isn't considered legacy.
