did anyone do more than one writing competition?
i'm sitting here staring at a pile of paper wondering if this is worth it.
i'll have two days off in between this one and my current school's competition.
and i haven't finished my transfer applications...

What schools are we talking about, and do you have any idea how many transfers typically write on?
Regardless of the answers to the above, if you are super-serious about transferring, first priority should definitely be getting your transfer apps in as early as possible. (It can make a big difference.)

My current law school is one of the T50s.
The writing competition is for CLS. A friend of mine who graduated a while back told me that there were 2 transfers on L Rev who wrote on his year. I have no idea what that means though. I'm not sure how many transfer students actually participate since it would turn out to be a complete waste of time if you aren't accepted.
Either way if I decide to stop working on it, I will probably just take a good break and finish applications this weekend. I don't think I would get the apps out any earlier at this point. I just finished finals last Friday.

So... do we do the write on once we're admitted to the school? Because there's no f-ing way I'm doing six write ons.
i think CLS is an outlier for L Rev applications

for some reason transfer students have to participate in the L Rev write-on with everyone else in May

you can apply for other CLS journals once admitted but not L Rev
i'd assume most schools allow you to apply to journals after admitted but you should check to find out specific schools' policies. CLS's competition ended today, though.
