Cornell to NYU ?

If you are in the top 25%, it's worth a try, in my opinion, although I suspect that other posters would disagree & recommend a much higher ranking. If it is important to you, then at least try & make NYU decide rather than living with regret.

Know someone who went Cornell --> Columbia/NYU who was around top 25%. Said it made absolutely no difference in terms of employment, so you should probably only do it if 1) you have some reason to you need to be in NYC or 2) NYU is your dream law school and you have a compelling reason to go there.

If your lower T14 is GULC, then it's a different story.

Because of the location, or because of differences in program/reputation?

You really think it is worth it to go to NYU/CLS from GULC but not Cornell?

My opinion on GULC vs. Cornell is pretty biased, to be fair (and premised on the fact that the person who wants to transfer wants to work in NYC).

Even if you want to work in NYC, if you're that high in the class it seems like it would be irrelevant?

At top 25% at GULC? I would think so.

My reasoning is mostly location/class size reasons; and also the fact that I just don't like the school (for both rational and irrational reasons ).

Haha, that's fair enough.
