I cant seem to find any information on this.
Obviously it's better to be in a higher ranking school as a 1L.
But are there other factors that come into play?
Is there somewhere I can find some statistics?

You prob won't find any stats on it but you could always do some research. Don't pick a school thinking you'll transfer; that's just dumb.

I guess the best school you can get into would be the best one for you to try to transfer from, but seriously, don't go to a school expecting to transfer.

In general, I would say Cooley is the best school to transfer from because if you're there you should probably try to get out...

The easiest school to transfer from is Yale because it is the best school in the country and so every other school would be happy to welcome you....although they would probably judge you for being a dumbass.

The best school to transfer from is the shittiest school you can imagine-- maybe Pontifical Catholic in Puerto Rico? Anything is an improvement.

My Int'l Law prof said there was no such thing as a stupid question...I don't agree...

the best school to transfer from is the one you would be happy to graduate at median at sticker price. That being said, pick a school that you will go to for 1L that meets those requirements, because its very hard to transfer. You need to be at the top of your class in order to have any chance.

I'm going to go with: the school that gave you a full ride + stipend and required you to go into no debt as a 1L.

That being said, going to law school you would not feel comfortable graduating from is a bad decision 100% of the time.

+1 from someone who turned down such an offer from a school he would not be comfortable graduating from.

Check out Yahoo Transfer Apps Database.

I've looked into a few T4s, and one (Western St) had a pretty non standard 1L Curriculum. It doesn't have con law or property for IL. Unsurprisingly, I didn't find it in the yahoo transfer database. My guess is even if you grab top 5% there, you won't be able to transfer, because you would be so far behind.
