Do schools look at just your first semester grades when deciding on transfer apps? Or do they wait to factor in second-semester grades?

see thread above.

only a few have an early decision application for which they only require your first semester grades.

"Chicago, due April 15 - THIS is BINDING (you have to go if you are accepted)
14. Georgetown, due March 16
55. Case Western, due March 30
71. Miami, TBA (or rather, it does not say anything on their website)
100. Hofstra, due May 15"

WUSTL also has an EA non-binding transfer program. Not sure why, but I've never seen anyone mention it on these boards...

Most people applying to transfer send in apps right after spring exams, and then send spring grades separately as soon as they become available.

WUSTL can't decide if they want to keep their EA transfer admissions program or not. Two years ago, they had it, last year they didn't, looks like it's back now.
