I have no idea. Is that the mindset of most 1L who wish they could have gotten into other schools ? Is that the immediate goal, get these grades so I can get into a better school ? Like if you're top 5% at a T2 school and you don't transfer to a better school are you viewed as strange ?

"Do most of the top 10% transfer to better schools ?" Drove Yale law students nuts--which is why they are no longer ranked.

I don't think you would be viewed as strange. A lot of it depends on the school you are in. If you are in a T30 or even T1 school, top performance plus a full scholarship might be hard to give up for a T14, T10 or T6 school. But from a T2, T3, or T4 school, the decision to transfer is much easier.
Some people don't transfer and try to get a better scholarship. Others don't transfer because of network/location/friends/etc. Yet others don't transfer because they don't know how it works (or too hard). TLS likely has a higher percentage of people who want to transfer than the general population.
