What would be a realistic class rank?

Transfering from a t4 in Chicago to FSU will probably take top 5%.

It doesn't matter what people say on here. Spend more time studying and forging relationships with your professors and less time on this site.

This is the best advice you will get if you want to transfer.

I had a friend transfer from Florida Coastal to FSU, pretty sure he was only top 10% or so. Just to give some perspective.

Coastal is in Florida though. This guy goes to school in Chicago. I think that will be a factor.

I donno about that. Id say t20% will get you into FSU. T5% will get you into emory/wustl/illinois level.

Aim for top 1%, but within top 10% should be safe. FSU takes a lot of transfers.

Why would anyone do that? The garbage behind the adult bookstore is clearly the better place to live!

I had classmates (Florida t4) transfer to FSU that were not in the top 10%. Rumors put them around the 20% mark. I had one friend, ranked in the top 15%, transfer to UF. One person in the top 2% transferred to Notre Dame, and another went to Emory.
