I'm curious, too. I figured once I have made a final decision I'd just call the financial aid office, but any particular wisdom in this department would be appreciated.
I don't think you have to do exit counseling or whatever until you're done w/ borrowing and using that MPN and stuff. Loan repayment is in deferment until you're out of school, so yeah they just sit and wait for you to graduate. I don't think there's a real need to consolidate, but it could help a little bit, if not financially, maybe just logistically making it a little easier to pay or something.
Did you say private lender for Graduate Plus? I thought Graduate Plus was still federally administered. Don't you get unSubs., Subs., and then Plus all through the federal government? Then the next option is private lenders, since they will probably be a little bit more expensive?
