how do transfers fare at GULC OCI?

I will probably be transfering to GULC and have some questions about OCI - I figure this is the right forum for this because all the transfer people read it.

Firstly, how do transfers generally fare at GULC OCI?

Secondly, I was top 10-15% at my t20 school (3.62 - and before you ask, I transfered because it was NOT in my target market). I've been told by career services to bid on employers with prior year median GPA for SAs of 3.4-3.5 (which I think is like top 1/3 for GULC). As a blanket rule, should I NOT be bidding on any v25 firms? Should I be even more conservative? Any advice would be appreciated.

In the event I don't get in elsewhere in the next few days, I too would be interested in some thoughts on this topic. The bid deadline's in just 10 days.

Shmoo- Career services told me a very similar story when I talked to them. But, keep in mind that their #1 job is to get us employed. Employed at graduations statistics count the same for GULC if you are at Skadden or at somewhere outside of the top 250. They are going to give you a conservative approach that will likely net you some sort job.

With the way that GULC does the OCI bidding (lottery), you can bid away at V25 firms and they won't know you are a transfer until they see you. They may be impressed with your hard work or they may not even take you seriously, but you'll still have a chance to get a legitimate interview and say your piece.

I heard last year that everyone fared pretty poorly at OCIs at GULC (along with everyone else outside of T6), but transfers did no worse than the class as a whole. I am really hopeful that there is some sort of rebound effect this year. Certainly they have employers showing up in droves, so we'll find out soon enough.
