Top Law Schools

Hi everyone, please vote if you have a second.

This goal is to eventually work in Chicago at a medium to large firm. I know I'll be competing with UChicago and NU grads, but I'd like to maximize my chance of securing a position in Chi.

I'm leaning toward ND for now, but I'm interested to know what others think.

ND I guess . . . but am I crazy stupid for thinking it might be helpful to be IN Chicago for the next couple years? Is DePaul a completely stupid option here? It just seems like you might be able to network more easily from there.

It doesn't matter, OP's odds of landing in a medium or large Chicago firm are about the same as DesertFox becoming a successful underwear model.

I thought about that, but decided I'd rather stay at my school than go to DePaul or Loyola Chicago.

Ha, are we talking classic-white cotton styles or something more Frederick's of Hollywood? Anyway, thanks for your input, sounds like you got the system figured out.

The point is, the people responding to this poll are giving absolutely TERRIBLE advice. You are going to give up a near full ride, good rank, and LR for Illinois or Notre Dame at sticker as a transfer!?!?! Horrendous idea.

Don't disagree with poster above, except the dude is determined to get to Chicago. Obviously he can graduate on the east coast and just try to make his way there, but as with all this stuff, it's just what's important to him.

I would say Illinois, I go to Kent and see more Ill folks getting the best jobs than anyone from Chicago schools
