how are you revising your resume to include your transfer school? what are you putting under GPA for your new school, are you putting a GPA section at all? and for your old school, what are you going to put instead of "juris doctor expected..."?

I didn't even bother putting my LR/Moot Court invites on my transfer applications.

TToN specifically said leaving this off (or not being able to put it on) was viewed as a negative during his interviews. So yea, I'm gonna call bs w/o elaboration.

Weird to hear. I just didn't think there was a reason someone wouldn't put that on their resume. My only evidence is from TToN saying that interviewers thought he was either lazy or a terrible writer because he wasn't on LR at his former school.

good to know. I would suspect to put law review invites (at least for finding the first job, I'd probably drop it after that).

Shit - might have to change my approach. I did book Legal R&W, though, which hopefully will rebut that presumption wherever it should arise.

That format does strike me as the best though. Simple and effective without over doing it.

So what about in the situation where you don't know? Meaning, we had to do a write on considered with our grades. However, they never rejected anyone over a 3.8, I had a 3.9 ... so I was going to make it, that said they don't officially invite until late July/early August and by then my school will know I am leaving. I don't see how this can be held against me in on interview.

So to be clear, I can just put "old law school"?

I think I'd prefer that.

You are right, I just went back and looked at the e-mail they sent and it doesn't say anything about first year GPA, it just says to be ready to provide transcripts.

I would just explain it as such. It's true you can't put in on your resume unless you were technically invited, but if it comes up in an interview there is no problem saying that in accordance with your schools guidelines you would have been given an offer had you not transferred prior to when the offer would have been extended.

Yeah that is what I was planning on doing, but got a little nervous after hearing it was held against the other poster lol. Thanks for the advice!

+1 to this thread. I've been reading a ton of resume shit lately trying to get my straight, and there's an absence of info for transfers.
