transferring and write-on question

I know a lot of schools allow you to participate on the write-on for Law Review prior to even accepting you. Let's saying you're applying to about 3 transfer schools. Are you doing all 3 write-ons or just waiting to note-on? I know for some places if you note-on you don't get onto Law Review until 3L. Just curious.

Waiting to note on is a horrible idea.

1.) You don't get the line for OCI, which greatly diminishes its value
2.) Noting on is NOT a certain thing--I know many people who tried and failed to note-on here
3.) Unless you manage to note on quite early, you won't be in the running for an ed board position

Suck it up and do the write-ons for all of the schools you would go to if you applied. Frankly, whether you make the LR cut or not at a particular school might make the decision over which to go to easier (i.e., if you get on to Columbia's LR but not Chicago's, Columbia is the obvious choice, even if you were leaning Chicago before,) or more difficult (Harvard no L.Rev. vs. Columbia with L.Rev...)
