1) check the transferapps yahoogroup for the only data available

2) The school you are at is EXTREMELY important. The better the school, the more forgiving the odds.

RU-Newark, 3.5 looking for 3.67 after this semester. Want to transfer to BU, BC, Fordham, NYU?, Emory?, GW?

Where does that put you in the ranking? Given that you are attempting to transfer from T2, as opposed to T3/4, your chances at T20, T30 are significantly better. I don't think you have much of a shot at NYU.

I don't think this will hurt you. Adcomms know how to interpret your grades

Thanks for the replies so far. As much as it is a numbers game, does the quality of your summer internship have any weight?

No.

I mean, it might at the margins. There are probably 3 kinds of 1L summer:

*Impressive (signals ambition + successful pre-screening by some other legal employer, but still probably a much smaller impact than the almighty grades)
*Fine (basically any legal job that wasn't absurdly competitive)
*Not legal work (can be a kiss of death for firms, not sure how it would effect transfering)
