Lower T2, 4.07 GPA, where should I apply?

My school doesn't rank, but I guess I might be number 1 or close to it. From what I've seen on here, I think I have a shot at CCN. Is it worth applying to HYS? I know H has a large transfer class, but I don't know if any are from schools ranked as low as mine. I'm not set on transferring or anything, but I am trying to figure out where I have a shot. Also, does anyone know what "consistent performance" means for Chicago ED?

As far as a potential return on your money, it's probably worth it to apply everywhere you would consider matriculating. Financial ability aside, blanket the T14 RD assuming you repeat this semester. Someone will bite. Not sure about the HYS tier specifically. They do appear to take the top student from T2s, but I wouldn't bank on it. Transferring appears to be a crapshoot anyway.

Anyone else? I know there isn't much data on the subject, but hopefully someone has personal experience or anecdotal knowledge. I am still thinking about Chicago ED, and a chance at HYS would help me decide.

I haven't been able to answer my questions using these boards, and I suspect this is because transferring is unpredictable. That said, I would appreciate the perspective of the TLS community. I've read the boards for a while now, and they have definitely contributed to my success in law school. Hopefully once this whole process is over I can give something back by posting my experiences (although I may not be able to add much considering what Arrow, TTON, PKSebben and others have posted).

You won't get in to Chicago ED, more than likely (AFAIK, there were no T2 transfers in this year, ED or RD, though I may be wrong... there may be 1 Kent or Loyola-Chicago person here that I don't remember). That said, it may be worth throwing an application at them, just because your chances at Harvard from a T2 are low enough that the extra bump at UoC may be worth it. PErsonal decision though... a GPA over a 4.0 may actually give you a shot at Harvard.

I would apply at GULC on down. You're probably safely in at GULC--though, whether transferring in to GULC is worth it or not is honestly a debateable question (transfers got absolutely thrashed at OCI there, this year--I know a LOT of people who really regret pulling that trigger.)

If I had to guess, I'd say you will get in to one of T7-14. Depending on which T2 you go to, you probably have a chance at Columbia/NYU (they are kind to the NYC T2 schools in the transfer process.)
