Frankly I'm surprised it took you all this long to realize that.IAFG wrote:Congratulations on becoming the OS of NU 2013Desert Fox wrote:What can we do to tip the scales to NU for HGL?
Today I talked my TLS doppleganger into taking a year off, retaking, and EDing to NU.

Also, I think it would be cool to do an International Team Project to Afghanistan... what would you guys say the chances are of being allowed to/finding people willing to go?

Love it here, but they don't exactly need that kind of thing, unless the purpose of the trip would be teaching them not to stare and how to use deodorant.Drew2010 wrote:Signed up.. Re: Northwestern Law Class of 2013
lol.. you didn't get to go to the DANL did you? Do you know much about the ITP trips? If not it is basically a 2-week trip to research legal issues in the chosen country, and also do some sight-seeing/having fun. Groups of 4 students (leadership teams I think they called them) get together and come up with a proposal including costs and research topics, and they are all presented to the interested students on the same day, after which students bid on which trips they want to go on. All those with enough interested students pretty much get approved. Admittedly there probably wouldn’t be any fun things to do in the Afghan, which means getting enough students to go would be difficult compared to the other countries where you can both research and have fun. However, I think the ability to research legal issues in Afghanistan or Iraq right now would be pretty amazing.Holly Golightly wrote:Love it here, but they don't exactly need that kind of thing, unless the purpose of the trip would be teaching them not to stare and how to use deodorant.Drew2010 wrote: Signed up.. No ASWs or anything for me, stuck in Europe for a few more weeks. That sounds pretty awesome either way, but Afghanistan or Iraq would be amazing. Well 2L year I'll come find you (if you choose NU) and we can form a leadership team. Either way ITP is definitely something I'm going to take advantage of at NU at least once.Holly Golightly wrote:No ASWs or anything for me, stuck in Europe for a few more weeks. This isn't exactly what you're looking for, and it doesn't have 2010 summer employment yet, but I still found it really interesting. You'll need a netid and password to access it, but it will let you see summer employment survey data up to summer of 2009.Desert Fox wrote:I don't think so. Sadly, doesn't work. Looks like NU is expecting the endowment to recover next year and payouts to go up.

It's interesting to see how many people worked at Bluhm their first summer. I wonder how that plays with eventual employers.

Re: Northwestern Law Class of 2013
Okay, LRAP question. I was reviewing the information about it (http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissi ... /lrap.html), and it says:
"Any graduate who starts work immediately after graduation or after a clerkship as an attorney or manager in any government or non-profit agency is eligible for PSFP."
Does this mean someone doing a clerkship wouldn't qualify?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
