So I orginally accepted an offer for American (w/ no money) and I just got a letter in the mail from Brooklyn upgrading my scholarship to full tution plus guaranteed housing for 3yrs (or a $5000 stipend if i don't live on campus). I want to do patent law and American is ranked a decent amount higher than brooklyn. I need help making a decisions! any advice?

This is a no-brainer in my mind. Go to Brooklyn, live on campus, gradate with no debt. Do well at Brooklyn and go into what field you want. Turning down full tuition/plus room and board seems crazy for similarly ranked schools.

Peer schools in every way - Brooklyn. You should thank them that you won't be attending American at sticker - which would be bad bad bad.

Go to Brooklyn. American isn't worth $200k for a slightly better ranking. Congrats on your offer, that's a great deal.
