Anyone decide on Emory yet? Their generous scholarship offer has almost sealed the deal and I can't wait for ASD on April 9th and 10th!

Yeah, I'm pretty much decided. I want to stay in the Atlanta area and with a good scholarship from a top 20 school, it's too good to pass up! Have you joined the FB group yet? I'm really excited to start getting to know my future classmates!lawduder wrote:Anyone decide on Emory yet? lower than last year. in the past 96k was common. i did everything i could to obtain a big scholarship (applied for the woodruff with a strong LOR, have #s well above both 75%, vistied campus for a tour, called back, and sent a LOCI). i ended up with 75k, but i have seen a couple of 81ks on LSN.Steven Perry wrote:What kind of scholarship offers has Emory been throwing out this year if you don't mind me asking?
I'd be down for that...I'm in Atlanta already so if that's the plan just let me know and I'll be there!sebastian0622 wrote:Emory is my top choice right now. Atlanta is a great city, so it'd be hard to pass up Emory. Looking forward to seeing you all in a month! I might come in on Thursday to watch the Cubs/Braves game that night (Braves are on a road trip starting that Friday), so let me know if you'd want to go and maybe a group of us could get seats together.

How "casual" are you guys planning on being for the weekend? I don't want to be "that guy" if you know what I mean!lawduder wrote:casual attire for the entire admitted students weekend=awesomeeeee
I'll probably be in jeans and something other than a t-shirt. Also, sent my first deposit today!maximus34998 wrote:How "casual" are you guys planning on being for the weekend? Not sure what other information they'd need to give us, did you not get the little pamphlet thing? I think form this point we just show up on April 9th-10th.hhg wrote:i finally got my opus log-in information today... so excited! yaay for maximum stafford loans!! i was so afraid that i was gonna get stuck doing all grad plus loans after the scholly kicked in, big relief. has anybody asked & gotten a response about when we should be expecting to receive more info regarding asd?
I think this is true...there was something kind of unclear, maybe one of you guys will know-do we need to check-in at the school before the event on Friday night? Or do we just show up at the house for the reception?lawduder wrote:Not sure what other information they'd need to give us, did you not get the little pamphlet thing? The pamphlet just had a basic schedule. Friday night, there is a mixer from 6-8 at the home of a 1980 grad. It's just about a mile from the school. Saturday, we check-in at 8:15 and the day lasts until 4. Seems pretty basic, with sessions about what to expect as a law student, financial aid, tours, etc.
