As for the program, liked it a lot, especially the mini class (went to the DUI on a horse one, found it quite entertaining).

Hey all, I'm accepted to the part-time evening program right now.. still wait-listed for full time. 99% sure I will be attending either way this fall. Is anyone planning on attending the June 11th ICG?

Not a lot of excitement here over this class? I'll be studying IP Law in the fall. Coming from NC with an engineering background. Working on housing. I hear it's best to stick close to the Red Line. Any other suggestions?

I haven't found a lot of others from DePaul on this site haha.

Red or Brown line should be a "safe zone" for being able to get into the Loop quickly, and the areas surrounding these lines usually have the young professional/growing family folk living there.

It's a great city, you'll love it here!

I'm super excited to move to Chicago in August!

It's a blast here...I love it so much I didn't even apply outside of this city...it was Chicago or die hahaha.

Applying this fall, and would love to be Depaul 2014! I'm very much "Chicago-or-die" as well, and don't have a shot at U of C. What made you pick Depaul over other Chi schools? What were your numbers? etc. Just trying to gauge my chances!!

161/3.1 at UMich. Knew with my numbers, Northwestern and UChi weren't going to happen hahaha, but I picked DePaul over the other schools because of the Child and Family Law programs they have. I may keep my eyes open for transferring, depending on how I do 1L. Anyway, it was down to Loyola and DePaul based on that fact (and the fact that I didn't want John Marshall, and Kent wasn't giving me any scholly money), and both of those schools have equally great programs in that area, so it was really up to whoever sweetened the pot more for me. DePaul sealed it with huge money, and a guaranteed paid 1L summer job in family law. Couldn't turn that down!

Scholly and paid 1L gig definitely would seal the deal for me too! I'm in engineering with 3.5/155. Tried the LSAT twice, got beat down twice (same score both tries). I don't even know if my chances at DePaul are great seeing as I'm not URM...

3.5 in engineering will probably pull you through, but I don't know how schollys would work TBH.

Since you're an engineering major, if you're interested, they have a similar thing for IP law as what I'm doing for family law, if I'm not mistaken (dunno about the paid 1L summer gig, but there is some sort of summer gig attached as far as I understand it, even if it's pro bono stuff...I can find out more from a bud of mine who's doing that).
