I've decided I'm going to USD, so I thought I would start this thread.

Anyone else decided on USD yet?

I'm on the bubble. Significant $$ at Cal Western is what's keeping me from throwing the easy "yes" at USD.

Why are you so sure? Did they offer you significant funds? Did it just feel right? Are you from San Diego?

Just got accepted and about to drop my deposit in the mail.

Sent my deposit a while back, still waiting on 2 wait-lists that are looking bleak by now.

I'm hoping to revive this thread. Anyone else interested in getting to know each other before school starts?

Hi!

Who? I am a fellow first year student for USD law school, and I’m pretty stoked about that. I am contacting you because the lady that I have found a place to live with is looking for another boarder.

Points of interest:
--I am paying $575 a month, which includes utilities.
--The home owner is a really nice Indian lady who is probably going to be gone most of the weekdays for her job.
--Both she and I are vegetarians.
--The home is in a residential area in Clairemont, 15-20 minutes from the college.
--She has a backyard, a nice airy kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a really wholesome atmosphere.
--She has no pets.
--There is parking on the street and there is a large driveway.
--The neighborhood seems really quiet, and there is installed security system.

I feel really, really comfortable with this prospective living situation. It’s exactly what I was looking for, and if you think you might be interested too, let me know. I’ll get her email to you.

I am glad I found this forum! I am planning on attending USD in 2013 as well coming from UCSB. I have heard a lot of good things about san diego and the surrounding areas, should be a great time! There are a lot of San Diego Resort to choose from when visiting but I think I like the Welk Resort San Diego the most.
