I decided that Villanova 2013 needs one of these as well.
I haven't made my decision yet but I was accepted. I emailed their admissions office for information for special visits for admitted students. Is anyone else planning a visit this spring?

I just know I was admitted via status checker, I haven't received my actual letter yet. So I don't know if the information comes in that letter or if they send it later

Just got accepted. I went to Nova for undergrad, graduated last May. Living in Radnor House, which is literally less than half a mile from school, and I know a lot of law students live here as well. I can answer any questions about the area or anything since i've been here for 5 years now.

I also got accepted to Villanova and am seriously considering it... I was just wondering if many students live in Philly and commute out? Are there many student housing options around the law school?

I am seriously considering it too. I am planning a visit in the Spring. I am hoping to find decently affordable housing close to the school, probably something like a one bedroom apartment.

Most students do not live in Philly and commute, there are lots of student housing options right around the school (towns of Bryn Mawr, and Wayne) and even King of Prussia is only 10 minutes away. but be prepared to be disappointed with the rent, it tends to be pretty high around this area if you are looking for a 1 bedroom (usually from 900 and up), but having a roommate will obv make it much more manageable.

I think they have a good reputation in Philly. I know that most students go to practice in firms and they have a good representation throughout the Northeast too.
I'm not really sure how they compare with Temple, but the quality of life is going to be much different, as Villanova is much more suburban while Temple is more urban (and not in the best neighborhood). It would depend if you want to be in the city or just outside of the city.

I haven't gotten anything about it yet. I did hear that they send out their scholarship info very late in the cycle (like April) but I am not so sure how accurate that is.

I visited last Friday. I sat in on an information session and then the Admission's office arranged for me to sit in on a property class. I even got to sit down with Noe, the assistant dean of admissions, and talk about scholarships. Their new building is beautiful. The law students have their own parking garage with about 2 spaces for each student (no plans to expand their class size). Parking is $100 a year.
From the admissions dean: the scholarship committee is backed up and meeting for the first time in the next two weeks. Scholarship offers should begin rolling out by Feb 1st at the latest.

The class was interesting. The professor funny. The students all seemed friendly. Oh, and the cafeteria food wasn't so good.

LOL, yeah. It was edible but the sample they had out looked a lot better. The one lady in admissions told me stick with the sandwiches.

It also may interest someone to know that there is a regional rail station on campus like 300 ft from the law building.
