Are you guys actually printing out letters and mailing them via snail mail, or is it assumed that everyone uses email nowadays?
Should I just email everything?

I actually had the same question (maybe set up a poll: snail mail v. email???)
I'd love to save some postage money.

The way I figure it ITE -- Hit up the firms you're really interested in with as many opportunities to see your resume as possible. E-mail everybody, snail mail the better firms, and hand your resume in person to your favorite firms, bringing with you a nice bottle of wine, some flowers, money, or a (subtly sycophantic) thank-you card with a picture of your starving family and $400K student loan statement, groveling for a position... then sit outside of the recruiting partner's office and cry... obnoxiously.
...or regular snail mail might be sufficient.

I'm snail mailing. I didn't use mail merge, I'm not really sure how to use it and I wanted to slightly customize the letters anyway.
