What's the deal with becoming a sole practitioner right out of law school? Does this happen, how would a person know if he/ she will be able to make it? Why don't I hear more about people doing this? Feel free to discuss all things sole practitioner that I haven't mentioned.

I would think you wouldnt have the necessary training yet. You would probably need to wk as an associate for 5yrs first and learn the trade.

I'd love to work for myself, shoot who wouldn't. Good luck finding paying clients without experience, references, former clients, etc. etc.
