I am a 3L at a T20 and have a decent firm job offer. but I wish to do a LLM at harvard which I think has become far more selective ...
I do not expect to graduate with high honors. probably only cum Laude ...
but I am on LR and have authored five law journal articles (my school's LR and secondary journal, one specialist law journal at Yale, 2 other specialist journals)
excellent references from past employers and professors.

Try it, that's all you can really do, its hard to find info on LLM admission. Your publications will help though. Are they in the areas of the LLM you wnat to persue?

those 5 articles are in four different areas .... they are mainly seminar papers: I took quite a number of seminar classes as a 2L and so far have managed to get each of them published.

I did pretty much the same thing, excpet most of my seminar papers were in the same genral area of law, envriomenta law. But anyway I think just being published sevral times besides your note will look good for LLM admission. I would send your app in and see what happens. Good luck!

Why on earth would you turn down a good job offer for this?

I suppose if I were independently wealthy I might become a professional graduate degree collector. How cool would it be to have a JD, SJD, MD, MBA, and a few Phds to boot? You could do it in 25 years or so

hmmm I actually do have a 'bullshit' phd
I hope to go in-house one day, and do some freelance consultancy work and/ or adjunct teaching.
It'd be best to attain some sort of 'fame' .... though I will never aspire to become a big name ...
