Wedding Etiquette at large firms

I'm really only looking for informed responses...I realize there may not be many posters who can offer advice since it's mostly law students on here.

What is the etiquette for wedding invitations? Was a recent summer associate and getting married in near future (after I start working). Do I invite all the other SA's (wasn't too many)? Don't want it to be awkward.

I don't really know what the norm is, but if it was my wedding, I probably wouldn't invite anybody from the firm unless we were friends outside of work. And after only 3 months working with SA's in a professional setting, I probably wouldn't feel I was good enough friends with them to invite any of them to my wedding, and expose them to my weird family.

I think this is basically TCR. Either invite them all, or don't invite any of them.

OP here. Yeah I would invite all SA's if invited any. I was wondering outside of SA's. I'll only be working there for a couple months when invites go out.

Depends. I would invite the SA friends I made, but not the rest of the SA class. Unless the summer class was so small that this would result in, e.g., inviting three people and not inviting one. In a case like that just invite all of them.

Bah, OP is paying for that shit. Invite who you want, if they're adults, they'll understand.

Out of the SAs, invite the people you consider friends.

From an office poltics and wedding etiquette perspective, it's generally a good idea to invite your immediate supervisor unless you're having a very small wedding. He or she is unlikely to come, but it's polite to include him or her as a gesture of respect.

The SA class was really small so it's not a big deal to invite all of them. I am friends with all of them.

Inviting supervisors becomes tricky. Do I invite partners who were good to me? Associates? There were a few that were really helpful over the summer. I don't want to insult anyone by not inviting them, I also don't want it to be awkward that I did invite someone, and I don't want the numbers to get out of control. It's already going to be a decent size wedding.
