did i make the right choice?

i got selected for the DOJ SLIPS program, but was also offered by a medium size firm (50+ attys, 1700/week) for their summer program. I accepted the latter. I made the decision based on location and on the fact that the firm will likely extend me an offer. Does the SLIPS program make offers or do you have to do the honors program?

The SLIP program does make offers, but as I understand it, the percentage is not that high. I think its called a "funnel offer," where after the SLIP program you get an offer to be funneled into the honors program
