Jones Day or White & Case?

Jones Day or White & Case (both in DC)?
Edit: Deciding between these two offers.
I know about W&C's mass layoffs and year-long deferrals for everyone, and that dissuades me. But what if they are turning themselves around at this point, and Jones Day is just delaying its own layoffs and deferrals? JD seems very secure (I read the letter posted on ATL), but you never know.

Unless you're a masochist, JD, obviously.

FWIW, I worked with someone this summer who spent 2 years at White & Case DC and absolutely HATED it there. The person complained about being treated terribly and the complete lack of training/guidance. That, combined with the hits the firm has taken in the media and all the layoffs, I would choose Jones Day in a second.

Is it really that clear though? I would think White & Case had better name brand than JD, though I think I heard good things about JD's DC office.

The only thing White & Case has going for it is that if you abbreviate it W&C somebody might confuse it with Williams & Connolly.
