How is Freshfields (NY) doing ITE?

Noticed on NALP that Freshfields average associate hours plummeted between 2007 and 2008.

Average annual associate hours worked: 2460 (2007) 1532 (2008)
Average annual associate billable hours: 2190 (2007) 1100 (2008)

Their summer class is very small, so it's unlikely they are no-offering associates. I wonder if these drops in hours for the NY office has to do with their mostly european client base. Do they have a stable client base in the US? Plus, no other firms seem to publish this data on NALP so I can't make any comparisons. Damn Freshfields for being transparent.

Haven't read much on ATL or on other blog that would indicate that they are really hurting (any more than most that is). Anyone have any insights?
