Six offers, dropped 4, so 2 in hand.

I haven't heard from 4 firms yet.

If you have any tips/websites/resources for different factors to think about when evaluating offers, please share. I am legitimately torn about them and feel guilty for sitting on them.

How many offers?

Hell, I don't even have any callbacks, despite good grades at a top school. All of you with 3+ offers, what kind of credentials did you have?

I have three offers from V100 firms and was top-third at GULC, no journal (didn't try). I can only guess that my significant work experience played a role? All of my interviewers seemed really enthusiastic about me having professional experience.

I'm honestly not sure, but I'm thanking my lucky stars because my classmates are struggling.

Do you think you would have done better staying at your original institution?

I have one offer and waiting to hear from 4 other office call backs, one call back yet to complete.

Work experience was a huge selling point this year. People with work experience at good schools got multiple offers. People without work experience at good schools got nothing.

Me? 2 offers, waiting to hear back from 4 callbacks, and I already rejected a few other callbacks.

Work experience was a huge selling point this year.
And this may be a trend that continues. I would advise pre-law students even more strongly to not go to law school straight from undergrad. ITE, I think that related WE can add up to like .3 GPA or so.

Agree 100%. I'm the CCN transfer with no offers. No, being at my school would not have been better.

Also, as a side note, the law firms for the 3Ls on the secondary journal I am on have their firms listed in the journal regulations/info book - made me want to puke. 95% are firms I should never have interviewed at during OCI in the first place.

Remarkable that you got no offers.

I would have never thought work experience has THAT much influence.

It doesn't per se, but I definitely think it makes an individual a better interviewer in terms of both professional maturity and in having something to talk about.

I'm waiting on two interviews I just had and have another couple coming up. I won't know the answer to this for another month or so, probably.

"I'm sorry, but i can't give out my number without a firm offer."

"Oh, I'll make you a firm offer."

A coke and a smile to the first person who gets it.

Where did the work experience theory come from? Just because one poster said he was top 1/3 at GULC with multiple offers and work experience does not mean that work experience is a big boost. Top 1/3 at GULC + good interview is probably the reason why. ITE the top students get a lot and the rest get zilch.

Sorry but ITE "top 1/3 at georgetown and no journal" isn't exactly cleaning up... its great that he/she has offers, but its likely a combination of things, including the work experience.

I'll only take the coke and the smile if they're solid as a rock.

I hate when people do this and google doesn't help. It'll drive me crazy all day.

It's from Arrested Development. Gob was hitting on a model selling a car. She was refusing to give him her number unless he put down a firm offer on the car.
