I am curious if those firms have gotten back to anyone yet.

If anyone is interested, I can confirm a whole host of other DC firms that have gotten back to students (at least to me), but all but one are dings, so I can't confirm callbacks actually given at most.

Can confirm callbacks at Akin Gump, Fried Frank, and Goodwin Procter in DC. Haven't heard otherwise from any others, including the ones listed above.

Hogan (DC) has started callbacks.

Kelley Drye has also started doing callbacks.

Anyone hear from:
Sutherland
Steptoe (ditto to the OP)
Pillsbury
O'Melveny Myers?

Also - to the OP - how were you notified of your dings? I don't have access to my mail for a few more days so I'm sure they are just waiting for me.

does that list of firms giving dings include gibson?

I got a ding from Gibson via mail, two weeks interview.

Most dings via mail, a couple (incl Akin, A&P, Wilmer) via email.

Anyone heard from Sidley Austin or Crowell Moring?

UVA people have heard from Hogan, Covington, and Steptoe. I don't think anyone has heard from Kirkland DC yet.

I got a callback from Crowell not long after interview. I also heard some people got quick rejections, but not sure which office.

UVA has heard from all 4.

From what friends of mine have told me, Sidley DC won't be doing much before they call their 2009 SAs with offer decisions. That is supposedly happening towards the end of this coming week or early the week after.

Vandy has heard back from Hogan.

Ropes & Gray DC yesterday.

My school had OCI last week and the week before. I know of people with callbacks at the DC offices of Hogan, Steptoe, Kirkland, and Sidley.

I heard that Sidley just called its 2009 SAs with offer decisions. Now that they've done that, maybe now they'll move on to the 2010 SA hiring process.

These interviews all seemed to go very well, which makes me think that my grades were borderline and I'm on hold.

Sidley DC callback. Heard from them about 10 days ago.
