Aww I am super sorry. Please don't give up!Anonymous User wrote:Seeing people make a private fb already is making me lose hope. For all we know they already filled the class and they just aren't posting about it on tls. Its already may first.....
I just created that so that people would have a private forum to speak more openly about summer plans and housing accommodations. Don't get discouraged!

My friend turn her admittance letter in from a top 35 school outside of the top 15 and was rejected the next day. Sad that they put so much emphasis on the school you're going to be attending but I believe SEO simply supplies what law firms demand, which is students attending a top 15 school. Dose of reality.
#16 won't get you in??

I think it's probably closer to t20. There are a few who get into a specific market from very strong regional schools (UT for Houston, for instance).Anonymous User wrote:If you're not attending a top 15 school, don't waste time hoping. Did they tell you your application had been submitted to the "Admissions Committee" at the end of your interview?
Former SEO classes never mentioned one. Wondering if that's a soft deny.

I think you're reading a little too much into SEO's responses. That being said, I hope the bulk of their offers come later this week or early next week.

Re: SEO Corporate Law
Alum here. Just do the exams. I used 0% of the training during the summer and if you actually know the stuff it doesn't matter if you just take the exams. SEO isn't going through each person's test and seeing how much time they spent on each page, you can believe that.Anonymous User wrote:For the training are you guys going through the course or going straight to the exams. I have taken classes in most of these subjects and can get 90-100% without going through the course and skipping straight to the test. Thoughts?

then select these options from the different option menus:
select F for Law Firm
select your city: narrow down which market you want
organizations that hire: scroll down and select 1Ls from the menu options
if you're really hardcore, you don't select ANYTHING for "organizations that hire"
go through all the firms and see which have "TBD" in their 1L summer hiring box. That means firms haven't considered it. Fewer 1Ls will apply because they are less likely to find it. I applied to those and I believe I got a few callbacks out of 'em.
but you'll see there are a shitload of diversity scholarships/fellowships that you're going to hear about through your career services/SEO/BLSA/NALSA/LALSA/ETC mailing lists/diversity bar orgs, etc. Typically these give you an SA and some scholarship money.
