So, I emailed confirmation of my deposit to my interviewer, and I received an email today asking for a copy of my enrollment form.
Are they talking about something else or do you think my interviewer just didn't send it up to the right people?

I already forwarded the same deposit info to the person that asked but I'm just trying to make sure that there isn't something else they need

Congrats to everyone in recently (especially those in DC 8) ). Also, either the program will be much bigger this year or an incredibly disproportionate number of SEO people use TLS.

Does anyone know how many people they are accepting in the program and how many people will be in NYC, DC, Houston and the West Coast Programs?

Do we think that SEO has any sort of pattern (e.g. calls go out on mondays?) or are they just completely unpredictable?

To be honest, I think it's tough to tell from our perspective, but it looks as though there is no clearly established pattern that we can count on as we could with LS admissions, i.e. so and so alway send emails around this time, or people UR in October hear back on such and such date, etc.

That said, some of the people accepted this Monday mentioned (to me via PM) that they were told that SEO was looking to seriously fill this summer's class this week, so I imagine these next two days are crucial. I have to say that this entire week has been so edgy for me -- I get way too excited when my phone rings and that excitement quadruples when it's from a number not in my phonebook (two false alarms this week!).

Just did some searching in this thread for last year's class. It looks like there was a similar prediction that the class would be filled by the end of a particular week. The vast majority of those who had not heard by that Friday were not accepted, and waited until early May to be rejected.

So +1 on the cruciality of Thursday and Friday...

ouch. we have to wait until early may for rejections?
i understand them needing to keep a few backups, but they should really put the rest out of their misery as soon as possible

Just read through last year's thread...really anxious at this point.
I wouldn't be too anxious if you haven't had your follow up yet. Since they're moving really quickly then I think the nerves should come in if they've done a batch of calls since you had a follow up. Otherwise they obviously wouldn't have called yet (unless you initially interviewed with the director and don't need a follow up).

I had my follow up about a month ago. However, I just notified them of where I was committing on Friday...so idk whether I should be anxious or not.
Then I wouldn't be too worried until another batch of calls go out. I should've said follow up AND they have all of your information. None went out today or yesterday, so recent follow ups/complete apps at least have a couple days to not panic...yet.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit, and I feel like if you've had a follow up interview already, whether or not you get accepted is pretty much out of your hands. Here were reasons that I could think of that someone might not get accepted if they've made it to the follow up stage:

1. Poor follow-up interview, i.e. you came across as a sadist/lunatic/terrorist OR you just didn't seem human
2. You're going to the wrong school. I think this could be two-fold. You ended up picking a school outside of the T-14 OR you ended up picking a school in the T-14 that might be overrepresented among their admit pool, i.e. I'm sure SEO wants their interns to be able to build networks across top law schools, so if you decide to matriculate at Penn, per se, and there are already a boatload of Penn admits, they might pass you over in favor someone else to diversify the admit pool/networking ops
3. Your demographic isn't quite right. Similar to the school theory above. They could end up having too many African American applicants and so even if you're an exceptionally qualified African American, they might pass you over for a Hispanic or Asian American in order to help all under-represented groups somewhat equally/proportionally.

I think there are other obvious reasons that one could get rejected, i.e. poor resume, but I felt like if that were the case, they might not even bother calling you in for a follow up.

Feel free to disagree -- this is just me thinking in writing. I could be totally wrong about why people get rejected once they make it to this stage. In any case, all of this was only to suggest that as nerve-wracking as it is, our fate (for those of us who had follow ups already) was decided already or will be decided by factors over which we have not much control, so we should, in theory, be able to just sit back and enjoy the show.

I hate to do this because I know it will freak out some of those waiting but...

I have counted 18 acceptances to SEO on TLS.

Commitments:
4 Penn
3 Harvard
2 Michigan
2 Columbia
2 Cornell
1 University of Virginia
1 Chicago
1 Duke
1 Yale
1 University of Texas

13 had follow up interviews, and 5 did not

So far we have 12 NYC, 5 DC, and 1 Texas

Congrats to everyone that is in so far! I appreciate all your responses, please keep them coming!

Also, I wanted to offer my thoughts about the number of responses on TLS comment that a poster made earlier. I have been trying to figure out approximately what percentage of SEO applicants are on TLS. I am guessing that I have less than half of the admitted applicants responding to this thread. However, I do think we have a larger percentage than last year. Many of the posters that have pmed me only made a TLS account after searching for information on SEO. Some of them have never posted anything on the site. I think TLS has grown in popularity since last year and this thread seems a bit more organized. The ultimate proof is the fact that googling "SEO Corporate Law Internship" returns this thread as the 4th result.

Interesting to see that there's no west coast schools on the list. Maybe they don't want to tell anyone. :?

I was accepted when I committed to a west coast school. I'm pretty sure they don't have a bias as I was one of the first one accepted (I later changed my commitment to Harvard). I know everyone is anxious but some of these theories are a little out there. People are just picking their schools now and I'm sure SEO is trying to get everything worked out. From what I understand they don't have a huge staff over there and they are both reviewing applications and getting the program ready for the summer. Give it some time take a breath and relax. You still have a shot at this thing.

Maybe this is why NYU and Stanford have absolutely no reported representation in the SEO class thus far this year. Our small sample size would perhaps justify the lack of Stanford SEO admits, but the lack of NYU admits (who held a plurality of last year's SEO class, as reported on this thread) seems strange. Could it be that they are waiting to admit those from these schools after assessing the whole pool? Note: Stanford, NYU, and Boalt are the only schools of the T10 that have not been represented in the reported acceptances.

i had an interview the other day with the director...

i still haven't decided a school, and my follow-up basically consisted of asking me where i was going and what my preference areas were. according to the interview, because i'm flexible in placement (particularly willing to go to nyc), not deciding for another week wasn't as big of a problem...but i got the impression that DC/SF were going to be rounding out their classes this weekend, and NYC on the first weekend of May.
