Yeah, I guess from my perspective, we're going to be ~150K in debt anyway, the ~15K I will make after taxes over the next 4 months is pretty negligible in comparison, but the time to travel, volunteer, and relax is pricess. Plus, to look on the bright side, we will have lower AGI for this year for fin aid purposes. :-) Buck up, and good luck with SEO.

$15 an hour is not too shitty especially as a part-timer during this economy. And no shame in begging to find work

For everyone who has interviewed already: What did your interviewer hope to glean from asking about what you knew (or didn't know) about the partner firms? I mean, aside from the obvious prestige factor, what else is there really to mention? Individual firms that align with your interests?

For me, it was open ended. Just don't dig yourself into a hole by saying something that's not true, or acting like you know more than you do. They did not ask anything specific.

Have you been accepted? If so, how and when did you find out?

Your foot in the door in the form of a relatively well paid internship at a V100 firm is def worth the price of admission- in this case, a flight to new york

same....tickets were actually relatively inexpensive from where I am at. To get the most out of my trip though, I am gonna visit a few of the schools I still have pending applications at (Cornell, NYU, Columbia) so I can have some good material for my LOCI. (Or, worst case scenario, information I will use if I end up having to reapply next cycle).

Would those of you who have landed SEO interviews or offers mind posting your ethnic/racial backgrounds? Have any Native Americans landed an interview? If Hispanic, what nationality? TIA!

Finally dug up e-mail contact information from them. AND, got a response! Turns out they really are people and not just computers sending out e-mails and web updates. PM me for it.

I thought they let you know on their decision only after you send the enrollment form in (when they know for sure where you're going)... am I mistaken?
