Quinn appellate?

Is it possible for Quinn associates to do exclusively appellate/issues and appeals? Is the culture in the appeals group better, worse, or the same as elsewhere in the firm?

My understanding is that there are some associates who do this, but it is not a major Supreme Court practice. The one person I know who had the option of this kind of practice at Quinn was personally recruited by John Bash. As is typical in biglaw, you probably need to be at least a realistic candidate for a Supreme Court clerkship to do issues and appeals full-time.
