Re: DPW v. S&C (NYC Lit)
Partner at a litigation-dominant firm down the rankings. I view S&C as a strong, well-rounded litigation shop. (I put Cravath and PW in this bucket as well.) DPW, in contrast, is not a player in this space and I can’t think of a notable litigator who works there or a notable case it litigated. I view it as an elite firm for transactional work, creditor-side bankruptcy, and financial regulatory work, but it’s not a firm I’d pick if I wanted to be a litigator.

They're both within less than a point of each other. So I would agree w/ previous poster that they're comparably prestigious in NYC.The Lsat Airbender wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 9:24 pmreferring to Vault as "the rankings" is amazingly law-student-brained lolAnonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 1:54 pmYeah, DPW outranks SullCrom in the regional rankings so idk what this poster is referring toAnonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 11:08 amNot sure SullCrom is “widely regarded as more prestigious.” The two are peer firms in every sense of that phrase.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2024 11:27 pmBoth are good NY firms, but SullCrom is widely regarded as more prestigious. It's better in litigation, too. Maybe someone on here can correct me, but it has among the smallest lit teams of any NY biglaw firm, no?
