Exit opportunities from DOJ Civil Fraud?

Hi! I am considering (have offer) joining the Civil Fraud section as an honors hire. I worked at a white collar-focused firm before law school for four years, so I got a taste of the early associate experience but of course was not a lawyer. Ultimately I think I’d like to do white collar work at a firm, but would prefer to take a counsel or late-term-associate role in that space after quite a bit of public sector experience. I’ve heard, though, that civil fraud is more marketable for a lot of firms.

My questions are: IS civil fraud marketable? How long would you stay at main justice if you were me? How would firms feel about a trajectory that went civil fraud -> criminal fraud, or civil fraud -> prestige AUSA? How would you go about pivoting to criminal if you were me (and would you?).
