Switching back to biglaw from in-house (trust and estate)

Hi,

I was a first-year Trust and Estate/Private Client associate at a chambers-ranked team in a satellite office. Due to partners' movement (leaving no partners in the office, which royally fucked up my career), I was let go citing "performance" issues.

I recently accepted an in-house trust attorney position with a trust company and I was wondering whether I can switch back to biglaw T&E/Private Client practice after 1-2 years? Or shall I get a LLM in tax instead?

Looking forward to your input. Thank you!
