Targeting Firms Post-Clerkship in a Different City

Hi all. I’m currently clerking for a district judge in a city that I’m not sure I want to stay in post clerkship. Before clerking for my current judge, I clerked for a judge in the city that I want to target so I have some ties there. How should I go about looking for a firm job in my old city? My old city is too far away from my current one to really network with attorneys during my current clerkship. My current clerkship doesn’t end for a while, but I wanted to see if anyone has any advice for someone in my position.
